Wolli Talks 2013 – Thursday May 2, 7.30 pm – A Bennelong bicentenary: A talk by Dr Peter Mitchell

January this year marked the 200th anniversary of Bennelong’s death.

Later this year Ryde Council will be commemorating Bennelong and helping to right a number of historical wrongs.

As a member of Ryde Council’s Heritage Advisory Committee, Dr Peter Mitchell has researched the location of Bennelong’s grave site and believes it has been located in Putney.

 

Venue:  Canterbury and Earlwood Caring Association (CECAL), Earlwood  – enter via Lewins St, opposite Coles carpark

Time:  7.30 pm sharp – doors open 7 pm.
