Walk the Wolli Valley Sunday April 9

If you have thought about walking the full length of Wolli Creek Valley bushland but never got around to it, here is an opportunity to do so in good company.  In the process you will learn about the interesting history and environment of the Valley.  We will climb Nannygoat Hil, and briefly stop at Jackson Place and other points of interest along the way.

We’ll meet at the western end of the Valley, at Bexley Road, for the 5km walk through the bushland. There is a track all the way, but it is rocky and uneven in places, so you will need sturdy shoes.  We will finish at Wolli Bluff, which is just a short walk from Tempe Station, or you can exit earlier at Bardwell Park or Turrella Stations if need be.  So it’s possible to use public transport, or you can arrange a car shuffle together by leaving a car at either end.

Meeting at 8 am, the walk will take about 4 and a half hours, so you will need to bring water and a decent snack.  A map and other materials will be provided.
