The track up Nanny Goat Hill This rough track leads you to the open, rocky summit of the hill. The sandy soil on the surrounding slopes provides a shallow, nutrient-poor environment for plant growth. Introduced weeds find it more difficult to gain a foothold here, but the hardy local native plants thrive and put on a great show of blossom in the late winter and early spring. Occasional Angophora trees are also able to grow on the slopes, where better pockets of soil occur. |
