Kayak trip on Wolli Creek

'Wolli from Creek to Crest' - Saturday 19 November 2005

Afloat on Wolli Creek

Trainee intrepid explorers gave up their hiking boots for the first part of the second 'Wolli from Creek to Crest' trip. They took to the water instead, paddling up Wolli Creek from Tempe to Turrella (the Creek) before climbing to the great 360 degree viewpoint atop Nannygoat Hill (the Crest).

They were trained in basic kayaking skills and accompanied by River Canoe Club members, Matt Lavin and Kim Reeves; commentary being provided by Wolli Creek Preservation Society member, Deb Little. After the paddle, climb and paddle back, everyone enjoyed hot soup back at the Clubhouse in Tempe.

Already, half the spots for the next trip are booked. To be in it, contact Peter on 9554 3176 or info@wollicreek.org.au.
