Covid 19 has affected some WCPS activities.

Unfortunately, we have had to suspend some of our usual activities such as our guided bush walks, kayak trips and our annual (March) Bat Watch Picnic during this time of the Covid 19 pandemic. We are able, with social distancing, to continue our Bushcare work, bird surveys, and Grey-headed Flying-fox counts. However there may be some limitations on numbers, and so accepting new volunteers for some of these activities. We have also not stopped our advocacy work for the wonderful Wolli Valley. Please see information elsewhere on our site about our campaign regarding Sydney Water’s proposed Odour Control Unit (OCU) at the eastern gateway to the Wolli Creek Regional Park.

NOW is a great time to join the Society so that we have resources – people and financial, to help us plan for the future.

As restrictions ease and change, we will be reviewing what activities we may be able to resume or expand. We will post info. about this on our home page.

You can also go to our Facebook page for info. and updates. As our Facebook page is public, you do not need to have a facebook account/login to see  posts.

You might also like to use this time to have a look at our various videos about the Wolli Valley, including stories about the struggle to save it, on our Youtube site.

There are also links to other, related videos to be found on some of the Valley’s wildlife on this website, as well as videos covering the extensive struggle to prevent the destruction of the Wolli Creek Valley for a motorway.
